I'm an industrial designer who makes products out of plastic waste. I want to move away from the misconception of how cheap and disposable these materials are in general. That's why I make objects that reflect the true value of plastics and show how we miss an opportunity every time we throw them in the landfills.
I'm fascinated by the open-source movements happening worldwide and how engaged they are in solving social and environmental issues. That's one of the reasons why I enjoy making things accessible so whoever is interested can learn, use and improve on a specific product or technique.
I believe there is something really powerful in replicating things locally using only what's available close to you. And, at the same time I cannot imagine a better way to tackle significant global issues like plastic pollution.
